The University of Córdoba (UCO) is a non-profit institution of Higher Education and Research established in 1972. UCO has a commitment to society, promoting innovation, research and technological development as an instrument for social and economic progress . In this way, the transfer of knowledge is also one of the missions of this university. The research efforts are composed of 193 research units and 2,500 employees, covering different disciplines ranging from Humanities, Legal and Social Sciences to Health Sciences and Science and Technology.

Our institution is also involved in the Agri-Food International Campus of Excellence (ceiA3) and in several research centers such as the IMIBIC (Maimónides Institute of Biomedical Research) and the "University Institute for Research in Fine Chemistry and Nanochemistry" and in the creation of Rabanales 21 Scientific and Technological Park. The University of Córdoba has considerable experience in the management and implementation of international projects. Currently, UCO has been awarded 16 projects financed through H2020 and 10 projects financed by other European programs (since 2014).

In a previous period (2007-2013), UCO obtained 30 projects financed through the Seventh Framework Program and 19 projects financed by other European programs. An Office of Knowledge Transfer, with an International Projects Area that facilitates the management, implementation and dissemination of transnational projects achieved by our university, as well as the transfer of knowledge and the protection of the results obtained. UCO has obtained the logo 'Excellence in Human Resources in Research' (HRS4R) awarded by the European Commission, which guarantees the improvement of working conditions for researchers throughout Europe. In addition, as a local Euraxess Network contact point, it supports the mobility of researchers and professional development, improving scientific collaboration between UCO and international researchers.
