CNR - IVALSA
Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (CNR) is the Italian Governmental Research Organization. CNR contributes to this project with two different units of the Tree and Timber Institute (IVALSA): the Santa Paolina experimental farm located in Follonica (Tuscany) and the Bari research group. Studies at CNR aim to develop plant phenomics approaches to advance the scientific understanding of basic plant biology and ecology. CNR has a large olive and fruit collection with more than 900 olive accessions. A wide spectrum of competences have been developed supporting research with innovative tools and methodologies and can contribute with infrastructure for the management of complex information. The CNR group is currently leading several national and international projects on plant responses to stress in order to qualitatively and quantitatively improve plant productivity in collaboration with public and private companies.
