As reported by Olimerca, the City Council of the Alicante town of Villajoyosa has received a grant from the Valencian Community Ministry of Agriculture for the prevention of the plague of Xylella fastidiosa in crops such as the olive grove and, through it, will distribute a phytosanitary product that fights the vectors of this bacterium.
In order to be a beneficiary of the subsidy, the owner must have the active phytosanitary products user card, or be accompanied by the person who has been hired for this purpose, or with the express authorization of the owner; being an essential requirement that the farm in question is within the municipality of Villajoyosa and indicates the number of square meters that it owns the specific crops of the subsidy.
The product will be distributed as of April 13, 2021 in the Department of Agriculture and Environment of the City Council of this municipality.
