Life Resilience, the world’s first olive improvement program

Life Resilience has been present 2nd European Conference on Xylella fastidiosa in Corsica, where the main research projects around this bacterium from our continent meet.

At the conference, organized by EFSA, the French National Institute for Agricultural Research (INRA); the French Agency for Food, Environmental and Occupational Safety (ANSES); the Environmental Office of Corsica (OEC), the European projects POnTE, XF-ACTORS, CURE-XF and EuroXanth, and Euphresco; Life Resilience has participated with the presentation of a poster that has made known to the attendees the work that is being done in this cutting-edge project of genetic improvement of olive tree, whose main objective is to develop new varieties resistant to Xylella fastidiosa.

Among other topics, the conference has addressed issues of pathogenic biology, disease detection and surveillance, ecology, epidemiology, modeling, insect vectors, sustainable management strategies and risk and impact assessment of Xf.
