Life Resilience will plant the best seeds before September at La Traversagna farm

The farm La Traversagna is the one being used in Italy to study Xylella fastidiosa and try different crop covers in four different areas of the farm with olive varieties like frantoio, leccino or Leccio del corno. This farm is special because it is a flat field located in the middle of Tuscany at the sea level and has a high amount of humidity and water during the winter.

SALOV and CNR team have analyzed the quality and fertility of the soil, the electrical conductivity and they have verified the temperature, since the farm is between 1m and 6m below the sea level. The have come to the conclusion that all these aspects may affect the behavior of the plant.

The latest news are that before September they will plant the best seeds in 50 hectares.
