Meeting with the UCAM to talk about Xylella

Life Resilience’s Communication manager, Ricardo Miguelañez, met on Monday July 15th with Carlos Serrano, agronomist from La Union de Cooperativas Agrarias Madrileñas (U.C.A.M.) to explain the objectives and results of the Life Resilience project.

Last April 2018, the Spanish Ministry of Agriculture confirmed the first case of Xylella fastidiosa in the Community of Madrid. The infection was located in an olive tree located in a private farm in Villarejo de Salvanés, a municipality located in the southeast of the region.

Therefore, this disease is an important issue for this cooperative that gathers and coordinates the joint actions of the agricultural cooperative sector.
