Nest boxes and insect hotels have been installed in Traversagna farm

This week, new nest boxes and insect hotels have been installed at La Traversagna, a test farm of the LIFE Resilience project, to evaluate the biodiversity of the ecosystem.

Nest boxes and insect hotels are facilities whose final objective is to give shelter to insects to promote their existence and thus settle in our ecosystems.

La Traversagna, a farm owned by SALOV, one of the LIFE Resilience partners, is one of the largest Tuscan olive properties: with its 75 hectares of olive groves in a single body of land. Located in the flat lands between Pisa and Lucca, in the area of the Migliarino – San Rossore natural park, this olive grove has been conceived according to a model of mechanization of crops and responds to specific parameters that take into account the nature of the territory. and olive varieties: Frantoio, Leccino, Pendolino and Leccio del Corno.
