Sowing cover crops on the El Valenciano model farm

The model farm El Valenciano (Sevilla) is a plantation of high production forget where this week has carried out the planting of cover crops of the European project Life Resilience.

Sowing cover crops is aimed at the conservation of the soil and the ecosystem, being the most effective way to fight soil erosion. Thus, cover crops contribute to conserve biodiversity and to the mitigation of the effects of climate change.

Together with the El Valenciano farm, Life Resilience has demonstration farms in Italy and Portugal, where the best sustainable practices of planting of green roofs are applied, which total 250 hectares for testing.
